First of all please accept my sincere wish for each and everyone a happy and prosperous NEW YEAR .
Through all the ups and down of last year we were successful in the spirit of work and pleasure, we had 2 derbies Spring Trout & a Salmon Slam both a successful due to the determination and hard work of our members.
Last year we were able to raise Brook Trout from our eyed up eggs in Mountain View Public School, This year we are doing the same but have expanded this program to 3 more area schools with rearing tanks installed at  Clearview Meadows Public School in Stayner, Worsley Public School in Wasaga Beach, and Cameron Public School in Collingwood and again in Mountain View Public school having 4 schools hatching out trout in their schools and being added to our hatchery program as we work together with the Optimist Club of Collingwood in this expanded joint venture lead by our hatchery chair Nick and Sean Rennie a teacher and our clubs youth liaison and now also president of the Optimist Club we will continue to move forward with this excellent teaching tool in these schools.
We had some glitches and problem this year when renewing and installing new members I am happy to report that this has been fixed and no body lost their place.in OFAH standing although your renewal date may be changed to Dec.1st.so check your Ontario Out of Doors mag. for renewal.
Our 1st. meeting of 2023 will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 63 in Collingwood in the north Atlantic room it is just as you get in the door on the left January 19th. at 6:30.
. Those that attended they Christmas gathering at Swiss Chalet in the beach had a good evening and fine fellowship thank you Harvie for making this happen.
